Finally finished, 40+ hours and 4 months later it's done
Β Bit of symbolism going on as well. I do like doing pictures like this... though I'll leave it for you to figure out as its quite personal :nod
Congratulations if youve noticed the link between this pictures name and its lineart Papillion destinyblue.deviantart.com/art⦠They both mean butterfly in another language. Falter is an old germanic word but I like the doubble meaning of it as well, and Papillion is french but I love the sound of the word...
Done in OpenCanvas and with a wacom intuos tablet.

This is a beautiful piece, I love the symbolism of the butterfly aswell, I always *hide* a butterfly in pretty much all of my work.
The folds of the dress are correct and convincing, the beams of light very dreamy.

Nitpick, but "papillon" is French, not "papillion" though it's still a nice name.
