Description
So, about a week ago I was asked by a coworker who had seen my armor, if I would be willing to show her son how I do it to see if he would like to do stuff like that as well. I agreed, we set a time and day, and he came over. We picked the Torva Full Helm (Mk2), and went to work. I ended up doing most of the work, but he helped with the cutting, a bit of the shaping, and some of the welding. 3 days of work later, this was the result; it is made from 1 2ft x 2ft plate of 16 gauge steel, and is held together by no more than 9 screws. The majority of the helmet was welded together, as you can see if you look closely. All in all, it was a fun build, and an interesting experience to try and teach someone. I don't know if I will be doing anything like this in the future, but I can safely say that this is the ONLY time I have ever replicated an item I built from the patterns I drew.NOTE: Last one, I promise! This is the interior of the helmet. I noticed I haven't posted a SINGLE picture on here of what the inside of one of these helmets looks like. This is it. I haven't added pads to it yet, so you can still see the metal, paint, and mesh around the eyes and mouth.
