Description
Kinda late in the season, we're introduced to the Trans-armor Cycle. Unfortunately, it blows up.
Diabolico plans on sending a new monster, Arachnor, a spider monster who has a bunch of eggs ready to hatch.
Jinxer is still hiding Olympius in a cave.
The Rangers face Arachnor, and retreat to figure out a plan. Carter continues to test the Trans-armor Cycle.
The others go back to fight Arachnor, and are captured. Carter arrives too late, and Arachnor transforms into a small spider and stows away on his jacket.
The other Rangers are trapped in a giant web in a warehouse, and Diabolico comes to gloat at them.
Carter meanwhile, has unknowingly brought Arachnor into the Aquabase.
We get a couple cool shots of Arachnor crawling on the ceiling, and capturing the crew. Only Carter is left, but Dr. Fairweather gives him the keycard to activate the Trans-armor Cycle. He drives it out to find the Rangers and other people Arachnor kidnapped. We get some pretty unique shots of him driving through the halls of the Aquabase. Vypra shows up in her dumb go-cart to stop him. A guy nowhere near Carter yells at him for I think cutting him off in traffic? Whatever, Batlings steal his car, along with another and chase after Carter. There's a cool Mad Max style vehicular battle, and it ends with Carter blowing up Vypra's Go-Cart! Usually towards the end of a season, the Rangers' tech and machinery is destroyed or disabled, it's rare for the villains' gear to be taken out this way.
Carter finds Arachnor's location and frees the captives. The Trans-armor Cycle turns into a new Battilizer for Carter, and he easily defeats Arachnor.
Later, the Rangers are testing out the cycle again, and the Rangers prank each other with fake spiders.

This is a fun, if pretty standard episode. The plot is really nothing special, but what elevates this one is the effects. The Rangers caught in a giant web, the cycle driving through the Aquabase, the new armor, and more are all fun moments.
The only odd bit is Jinxer with Olympius in the cave. Neither one of them show up again at all in the rest of the episode.
Rangerwiki was apparently edited by a vehicle enthusiast, as they can tell the sound the cycle makes at the beginning is wrong, and also what kind of cars the Batlings stole.
Rangerwiki also claims a scene in Ninja Storm where the villains scare each other with fake spiders is a reference to the similar scene here. I doubt it was a conscious reference, as it's a common gag. I thought of the scene from Friday the 13th part 5 where Reggie spooks Tommy Jarvis with a toy spider.
Fun episode, not particularly looking forward to the next one, as it's definitely not one of my favorites.
