The ritual had been successful..Dagon had been summoned and after the endless hours of terror, to punctuate the loss to those who still held onto hope. A champion had risen from the depths to answer that last glimmer of man's hold on his world that was never his to claim. Its great weight was pulled as a mass writhing from the sea, an obscene child of a racked inbred birth of pain and bile. It roared that gleeful hatred of all that was order and continuity. A sound that pierced the sky and sounded as a trumpet of the end of all that was good and sanely.

The Russian commander and few serving men stared in disbelief as this new horror lumbered so easily into the world and gazed upon the wreckage wrought by its children and raving followers..

Its armored plating undulated across the back, breathing in the carnage has tentacled arms squeezed and grasped with a life their own separate from the dead yellow orbs that were its eyes that gave rise to a mind clawing at cloying poisonous thought, conveying the cruelty of the host on cold dead breath.
