Copper

Sex: Male
Species: Giant Horned Toad
Concept: In creating Copper, I pulled anatomical features from Texas Horned Toads, Komodo Dragons, and Desert Iguanas. In the land of Terra Firma, Giant Horned Toads are large, bulky herbivorous lizards. Though mostly docile, they appear to be useless as beasts of burden as they remain stubborn and apathetic in the presence of humans. Despite this, Mama Snake managed to buy a baby Giant Horned Toad from a man as a child and raise him as her mount. They formed a solid bond once Mama Snake realized that sometimes she just has to be patient and let Copper stop to smell (or eat) the flowers. Giant Horned Toads can't be forced to do anything.
Diet: Any foliage that isn't toxic. Particularly enjoys bloomed flowers and ripe fruit.
Habitat: Desert
Defenses: Large, powerful tail. Dull ridge-plate teeth, but powerful bite-force. Claws
Color: Bright, vibrant orange as adolescent, color fades in adulthood.

(Copper's design is still kindof up in the air as you can see by the variance in design above, though I feel I'm getting closer to a finished concept!)
