Signuri Alessandro Felice di Valerio, a sea demon disguised as a human born in the Satrapy of Zaffiru of the Alastrian peninsula from likewise parents of similar otherworldly origin. The son of Signuri Rainolfo di Valerio, a prestigious barber and Rosamund, a humble baker. At a young age of just fifteen and tired of living the life of a simple citizen, he set out to become a mercenary for hire and help the city-states of northern Alastria fight, for a price. During his stay within the Marquisate of Casarossa, he met a fellow sea demon in disguise, Lauretta Giuseppina di Zapella, a tough but beautiful maiden. During his service within the Republic, both of them fell in love and eventually married years later. Alessandro, after being recognized as a veteran of many battles, earned the title of Condottiero, a captain of a mercenary unit. His squad mainly consisted of Zaffiri and Casarossan citizens, the former being told to speak Standard Alastrian as the language of people from Zaffiru tended to be somewhat unintelligible to the majority of northerners. Years go by, and Alessandro's mercenary squad gained quite the reputation, and because of this, the Marquess of Casarossa hired Alessandro's squad among others to help save her city-state from besiegers who serve the Wanax of Sciron.
