Her Pokeball may look broken but I wouldn't classify it as 'broken'. She's a sweet, innocent, perhaps a bit naive, childish and airheaded, Umbreon, but she's clever and resourceful and she spent her days making it so her Pokeball would only activate if she willed it, and then carefully crafting a hole in it to put her star tag in it without fully breaking it. Her nature is Sassy (+sp. def, -spd) and her characteristic is 'Thoroughly cunning' (sp.atck). She's actually most likely inbred, due to her poor, messed up stats, and her slight overbite. Her trainer is the one who combed her head fur to give her that bouncy tuft, and she's kept it like that ever since.

Alright, Agent's Backstory: Her trainer is the daughter of two Scientists of the PokeLabs, and they wanted their daughter to be a worker of the Labs as well. Agent's trainer didn't want to at first, as she loved Pokemon and didn't want to harm them. She especially loved her Umbreon, aka Agent, although Agent, with all her smarts, still couldn't learn her own name. When her trainer turned 16, though, she was forced to head down to the Labs, Agent loyally by her side. (I don't have a name for the trainer so from now on her name is Sarah, which Agent believes is a nickname for 'Savanna' because Agent sucks at names). Agent was registered into the Labs because the Scientists there found her inbred genetics interesting and useful rather than a waste to kill off (although, they wouldn't be able to do that, since Agent was also a registered trainer's Pokemon with a Pokeball). Sarah wasn't too ecstatic about being forced to work at the Labs, and her relationship with her parents became strained. Eventually, though, the dullness of working every single day and the retinue got to her, and she eventually gave up and just became one with her work, no longer caring about the feelings of the Pokemon.
Agent, in the meantime, when she wasn't with her trainer or they weren't back home for the night, was investigating the Labs. She wanted to be a 'detective' or a 'spy', so she named herself after that goal. She didn't really know what her name was, just that it started with an 'A', so she was like "What do you call a spy that starts with 'A'?" Agent had free roam since she was a Scientist's Pokemon, and she witnessed the horrors, and thought about saving them. She was gonna do it reeeeaaallly sneakily tho, so she started going through files. She could read and understand most words in the English human language. There were a lot of paper files, but there was a lot more on computers. Sarah had a computer, and Agent tried to access it, but she didn't have the password. So she waited for Sarah to access the computer and watched her type 'A-V-E-R-Y' on the keyboard. Agent didn't know what the word meant but she typed it in anyway, when Sarah was gone, and she got access to the computer and to a majority of files that weren't hidden on the computer. Agent used this to eventually help a few Pokemon out of the Labs, and she did it all so that the Scientists wouldn't even suspect a thing (unlike other Rebellion groups, who are much more 'fire-power' about their operations). Agent was really proud to be working right under the Scientist's noses.
One day, though, a Jolteon approached her with a very young Glaceon in his jaws. He told her about how some word had gotten around about a Scientist's Umbreon helping Pokemon escape, and how he wanted her to help him and his niece (the Glaceon) escape. Agent agrees, although this case would be a little harder since the Glaceon had some special darker markings that the Scientists wanted to have more Pokemon inherit since her father passed away. Agent also thought about her trainer, Sarah, and how distant she had become from her... And how that if Agent no longer showed up on time when they were leaving to go home for the night, Sarah would just leave her there. And how Sarah had let Agent be sent off for breeding one time (which Agent avoided since her breeding partner had a nervous breakdown and just stopped moving, to Agent's relief and worry). If Agent was honest, she realized she had no more affection for her trainer. So, Agent decided to guarantee the Jolteon and Glaceon, later called Foxy and Icicle, would escape by escaping with them.
Later on, after they escaped, they met up with Root and Flame. Agent still makes trips to the Labs to sort through files, play spy, or to help others escape or give others information to help them escape, and she often has Foxy or Root with her, while Flame watches over Icicle. Although, there are times where young Icicle sneaks off into the Labs anyway, and at one point, she even got into a stack of TMs)
