This is a wallpaper for the Nexon's Dungeon Fighter Online. The character is a mage with her companions. The mage artwork is originally created by 44 on Pixiv and titled イクシアさんと仲間たち.

The background was painted by me. It's a rendition of the world of Arad (the world where Dungeon Fighter is on). The white line in the background is the Sky Tower, a tower in Arad that reaches into the sky and leads to another world. The floating whale in the top left is Behemoth, another story central character. It is a giant flying whale with land and forests on its back in which some people have settled on.

The painting itself was done primarily with just the round brush. Some charcoal tips were used for shading. This painting has given me a lot of frustrations while I was working on it, including once where I deleted and completely redid the foreground mountain. But in the end, I'm happy with the way it turned out.

The title is named after the opening song, “Little Explorer”, to Minori’s Eden* They Were Only Two, on the Planet. I like the song very much and the title seemed appropriate for this image.
