And with this, the plot thickens ... !

I'm using my own expanded hack of Rich McNintch's "dm_richs_apartments" for the apartment complex where Ted lives. I had it available for download for a bit before I stopped doing the free XNA model thing ... but since no one else seems to want to use it, I most definitely have a use for it. Who knows? Maybe Ted's got some interesting neighbors, too.

I used a halftone effect (like that of a printed comic book) on the last panel, in order to help convey the idea that this was a transmitted picture being viewed on an old-style CRT monitor, and not an actual physical photo that Ted was holding in his hand and admiring. Yes, I know digital cameras and LCD flat screens these days can do near-perfect captures, but his old monitor isn't that sharp as they are, okay? If you still don't understand, go look up the term "chroma crawl."

I probably should have used this effect on the third panel, too. Oh, well ....
