Description
Ported to OBJ from the excellent low-poly model by Atrahasis originally created for the Starfleet Command (SFC) series of video games. Preview picture posed in XNALara XPS. NO MODEL DOWNLOAD; however, here's a link to the excellent free high-quality version by Raul Mamoru at eh Star Trek Meshes Collection (STMC) website, which (unlike this model) also includes a full interior and (non-posable) crew figures for the ultimate touch:
trekmeshes.eu/download/detail/…
You can also get the excellent exterior-only version (awwww!) by Dave Metesits right here at dA, which is just as good in every way and matches quite well with Mr. Mamoru's. I've used both in my own Trek related efforts, most notably in the STNV adaptation of "The Enchanted Pool." Here's that link:
Finally, if you need something lower poly but still want it with an interior (hello, XPS users!), then you can go get the one for Microsoft's Flight Simulator series created by RicardoPJ. Here's a download link for that one, and you can port it to OBJ (for later porting to XPS) with the free ModelConverterX utility:

This is the standard Starfleet shuttlecraft in TOS, as well as the only one that was ever seen due to the show's budget and FX limitations. A lot has been said and written about it you can read elsewhere. Suffice it to say that this is a workhorse utility craft that's carried aboard Starfleet vessels with hangar bays for small craft, as well as all Starfleet space and planetary installations. You'll have to change the hull registry markings for different Starfleet vessels or bases, but that isn't too hard.
Live long and prosper!
