Description
A Picture I took in October of the skeletons of a Smilodon and a Dire Wolf at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto. Large North American predators, both species were found in the La Brea Tar Pits in California. The Dire Wolf was a larger, more compact species of wolf, while the Smilodon was a powerful sabre toothed cat.
