Thought it was only fitting I painted an old Zuko character portrait after doing Katara! Happy end of Season 3 people!
Zuko was my favourite character in the original series, I just wish we got to see him and his awesome dragon fight more! :V
This is the second piece of my series of realistic avatar character paintings, Asami next!

Thanks, it's better to spend ages on something and do it right, gradually you'll get faster - some Feng Zu advice I find useful

Wow this is so great! THe scales on the dragon OMG and all of his wrinkles, it must have taken AGES! But still this somehow makes me uncomfortable, I dunno why... Maybe seeing such a realistic version of him being so old is a bit hard to take in. Great work nevertheless

Yes it hurts so much to see them old and sad because others have died (like, Katara without Sokka and without Aang is just heartbreaking)
I hope we get to see Zuko's daughter and maybe even Toph. We need to get to know more of the Gaang's legacy! I mean we have Toph's metal bending academy and the city and Katara's healing school and blood bending laws and everything but stillllll

I know, it's super sad, and what's with the writers dropping the bombshell of Toph still being alive and not letting us see her! I hope she features next season! I love the legacy the characters have left behind though, like you said, it's great that the world actually acknowledged everything they did!

Yesss I also love it when they pick um something they hinted to in a previous episode (can't exactly recall any example but I remember it made me happy). Also the new bending powers are amazing! Metalbending (ok we had that already) but Lavabending, flying and so on *3* I hope we can get to see more of that!

Yup it's awesome! I'm so happy Korra started learning the sub bending skills, because the Avatar isn't complete without them in my opinion! I've yet to see an avatar bend lighting though, I think that would be really cool! They do usually tend to follow through on their hints, apart from happened to Zuko's mom, which Katara mentioned in book 1, but I think that was to get us hyped for the comics

Yissssss I actually read and own all of the comics, I loved the story with Zuko's mum and where she went and stuff. It was a great follow up! The nes comic (The Rift) is about Toph's metalbending now, I'm excited for part 3 8D

YEssss it definitely is a universe with so many more stories to tell!! There are so many amazing characters and as we already saw in Aang's trilogy, there are always stories of someone else that are worth looking into
