Who knows how long she was out. The only reason she lived was because of the healing ability of folk and the fact her phylakardia had remained unharmed despite the beating she took. As she started to come to, she abruptly sat up on the bed she had been placed in, immediately flinching and trying to place a hand on her head and her side at the same time, finding only one hand was there. feeling her side, she realized that there were no arm there, not even the metal socket seemed to be there and her side was covered in bandages that wrapped around her body, affixing them in place and stained a grayish color from her blood underneath. even feeling above the bandage, she realized the area where her prostetic's metal anchor should be, it felt way too squishy for there to be metal underneath. What in the world happened while she was out? She put her hand to her head, feeling a dull ache as she remembered the last thing happening being her skull being crushed, or at least it felt like it had been. She was sure she was black and blue as she tried to remember what happened and what did it to her.
In her groggy confusion, she didn't immediately realize that one of the druid folk had come over, specifically the healer of them, Mori. The druid finally managed to get her attention, getting her to take her hand off of hr head and look at the druid.
"Good to see that you have woken up. You have been out for a while and you were in pretty bad shape when you were brought back here." The druid spoke with a sort of tone Carnelia felt familiar with, one that wasn't necessarily unusual among medics back then, but one she hadn't ever really used herself. "how do you feel?" Carnelia's ears twitched slightly at the question.
"Black and blue." a rather short answer from the otherwise talkative folk, but feeling sore all over and barely just woke up tends to do that to people "What.. Wheres.. my arm?" Oddly enough, despite her overall status, her first thought was where her prosthetic arm was, although she was slowly realizing that she felt, cold. Brushing it off as her just barely being awake and not exactly being clothed like she usually was, since the other folk had needed to get to her injuries, she figured she'd warm back up again once she got back on her feet.
"I'm afraid we weren't able to save it. it was too damaged, as well as the socket on you body." Carnelia's ear peaked. So that's why she couldn't feel the metal! It wasn't there. "Lucky your side is already healing well, your eye as well, albeit a bit slowly as it seems the predator you were initially after, may have managed to blight you."
She would later find it odd how her first thought was about the mention of her eye and not the blight also mentioned, but not thinking that far, Carnelia spoke "My eye? My eye.. wasn't hurt?" She looked confused at Morri, assuming she was talking about the only eye she had, forgetting that perhaps in being stomped on injured it "Yes, the one you lost." Mori explained, rather matter of factly "While we were fixing your head injuries, we noticed that it was growing back under your eyelid. We've wrapped in bandages to protect it while it grows, but it should be back to normal in no time"

In the end, the mention of a blight slipped her mind of this news, this knowledge that her eye was growing back. The eye that had been gone since long before she got here. Was her arm growing back too? mori said it was healing well too, so perhaps?
She'd be reminded of the blight later, but right now, her mind was stuck trying to figure out why the part she lost long ago, the parts that wouldn't grow back, suddenly was.
