So there's been quite a bit of anger and depression after the recent elections (I'll admit, I sulked for about a day or so too). The Right is mad about Obama, the Left about Prop 8 and related measures that were passed recently. In the middle of all this bitter fuming, I'd like to take a moment to remind people that we're still insanely lucky to live here.

Why? Because at least we get our say. It isn't like some countries, where the despot of the week says, "this is the law," and everyone else has to deal with it or get sent off for "re-education." We, the People, were asked what we wanted, and we responded accordingly (for better or for worse).

So yes, you can be bummed.
You can be worried.
You can be angry.
You can protest.
You can even throw a hissy-fit in the streets because you didn't get your way this November 4.

But please, whatever you do, respect the process.
