Starting off as a new reporter, Wade Ryder was just an ordinary man, somewhat self-absorbed. Wade was so sure of things that he risked his own life just to get a scoop when he crashed a criminal party and it nearly killed him. By the time he got there, he was attacked, shoved into secret hideout where a kidnapped mad scientist was held hostage and was forced to give supervillains enhanced powers, regeneration as well as higher intellect. of Course they poisoned him with bits of cancer added. Wade was about to die, until the kidnapped mad scientist saved him and used his latest formula which wasn't tested yet but the scientist hoped that he could save Wade from death. Wade Ryder was back, but he came back a bit different and somewhat disturbing. Wade Ryder had green hair, yellow skin and lots of scars all over his body. it also made Wade go very insane. the heroic scientist put him down to earth and explained everything to him. a very wicked crimelord bent on ruling the world and immortality, they kidnapped the scientist in order made the crimelord very powerful, when the scientist refused to give his formulas and leave it in his scummy hands. So the megalomaniac crimelord and his goons forced him inside to make that formula or else he would kill him. Scientist hoping to find a hero to save him, waited and waited for the right time to give him his ultimate formula and took a risk on Wade. Of course it worked but it made Wade go insane and look like a deformed zombie (just not as scary and ugly plus he still had all of his teeth in place) the scientist taught him to use his powers in few hours and helped him escape but unfortunate the scientist died while Wade recovered. Wade bent on protecting the innocent and avenging the scientist who helped him. Wade Ryder tracked down the crooks and took down their leader. Scaring the hell out of them and leaving them confused, heavily injured and somewhat insane. Wade Ryder BECAME Creepool the Insane self-healing yellow skinned maniac with green hair
