Wow awesome art........i'm actually glad they've done this game set before AC3.....this character is Edward Kenway so it'll be nice to see more in depth info on the Kenways....hope we see baby Haytham......and I just love pirates I'm super excited for this!!!!

from what i can tell the 'real world' missions will continue after desmond's role ended in AC3, presumably his father will now be the one going in the animus since this guy, edward kenway, is haytham's faher and thus one of desmond and william miles' ancestors

I don't think it's odd at all. The series has been all about going back and forth between different times. Heck, we only starting learning more about Altair AFTER Ezio.

Not to hate on the game or anything cuz I've loved all these games since the start; but if people just minded their own business, then Ubisoft wouldn't have announced this so soon. I just wasn't taken by AC3 like AC2. 3 hours into AC2 I was all: This game has sooooo much! I can't believe how good this is.
3hours into AC3: Do I get to learn something now? What? You mean I already have pretty much all the gadgets, abilities and weapons? So just ten more hours of killing dudes?
It's like the franchise has forgotten it was originally a stealth title. Since the characters got so good at fighting; there's very little reason to stealth as opposed to running in screaming and massacring everyone. Not to mention; jumping off some church in New York can't compete with parachuting off St. Peters Basilica.

AC2 was AMAZING, it had everything I wanted from the AC series and they ruined it with AC3 for me; it was BORING.
It was Connor that crushed it for me, Ubisoft gave us Haytham and then took him away and left us with a very limp, flat character in his place and it made me make a rage face!

I like your drawing because you've got style which I like but for now Edward isn't my favorite character. He looks like Ezio between Brotherhood and Revelations and he's got something from Alex Mercer from Prototype. I expect from Ubisoft some new and fresh character not upgrated version of old one.
