I remeber reading about this guy in some history book or something. Apparently his family used a poison called 'Cantarella' to get rid of their political enemies, and it was actually suspected that the poison was actually how Cesare's father became Pope. Cesare was also alleged to have an incestual relationship with his incredibly beautiful sister, Lucrezia. Cesare was supposed to be like the Genghis Khan of his time, and was called a devil in battle. Pretty cool to have him as an enemy in AC...

I am so happy that Ubisoft included this character in the new AC game: Cesare Borgia has been my favourite historical character since high school.

Cesare Borgia was the son of "His Holiness", Pope Alexander VI, aka Rodrigo Borgia ^_^ He wasn't the only son: the Borgia has also a daughter, Lucrezia, and other 2 sons: Juan and Jofre.

All the pope and the carninals were ruthless because the power of church was as powerful as the power of a king (maybe the pope was even STRONGER because he has power over the pople's consciences as well). That's why the noble family tried to realize theis own sons as cardinals...they would have infite power from the church ^_^
Alexander VI knew it very well...
Right now...I believe the current pope CANNOT be compare to men like Alexander VI, even if men still became part of the church because of the power it relate...
