Why is spanking of one's butt considered child abuse? 8| I mean, if it was vigorous and cruel, and left bruises that's one thing. But the mere act itself isn't abuse. I was spanked as a child. I can probably count on one hand, maybe both how many times I was. And it was usually for doing something I knew I damn well shouldn't have. If a parent takes it out of hand, that's one thing. If they are brutal and cruel about it, there's something wrong. But as a tool for discipline, I think it's fine. Honestly, it taught me not to do certain things unless I wanted to get a few licks of pain across my ass. lol Which I didn't. And now I'm not worried about it. Once I was about 13 they never did it again. I just got grounded, or talked to. I mean, there's really many forms of discipline anyway. Any time my mother raised her voice and said 'Marie!' I knew I was in trouble, etcetc. But I don't get the correlation of 'spanking is totally child abuse all of the time, no exceptions.'
BUT ENOUGH OF THAT.
