Yes, you can believe it... you better believe it! Simplify is finally here! I know... I know... many months have passed since the first WIP screenshot and it's even 2012 now... but hey, better late than never, right? I hope I'm right!

How to:
1. Patch your system files and install the required fonts!
You must patch your system files before you can use 3rd party windows themes. Use this tool to do it: www.windows7download.com/win7-…
Install the fonts found in the folder "Resources/Fonts"
2. Install the theme?
Copy the content of Theme folder in "C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\" (Asuming that you're Windows 7 is installed on partition C)
3. Change the start orb?
Use Windows 7 Start Button Changer to change the start orb. You can find this tool here:

Launch Windows 7 Start Button Changer and choose the BMP from the "Resources/Start Orb" folder and you're done!
4. Change the Windows Navigation buttons?
Use Windows 7 Navigation Buttons Customizer to change the Windows Navigation Buttons, resources available in the folder "Resources/Navigation Buttons"

5. Smooth Fonts like in OSX or Linux?
Use gdipp, the little app which changes your font rendering engine to make the fonts smooth just like, or almost like, in Linux or MacOS.

I love this style! I just tried it on and set everything up, but I think I may see one glitch in it. In all 4 versions the multi-window (when you have more than one window of that program open) hover on the program tiles on the taskbar still shows the default hover skin. Is this intentional or a glitch?

Very very nice, clean and minimalistic look. Like it. But I'd be very happy if you can fix 2 things. First: color of the "Details pane" in explorer. For now it's white and not fit to gray rest of the window. And second: in light borders style it would be cool if the borders in start menu would be light gray as the rest of the start menu.

the explorer details pane is white because it takes the color from the window... there's no setting to change only the color of the details pane... I know it sucks... blame microshit for the chaotic way of styling windows! you have no idea what a nightmare is to do a windows VS from scratch! or maybe you do?
and the start menu in the light borders version... well I would change it but time is not my best friend right now... sorry!

Really like the theme, I've been using it for a long time and don't intend on changing anytime soon. One question I have though, Do you think you'll ever do a version with more minimalistic caption buttons(close,minimize,maximize)? As that to me, is the one thing that would make this VS absolutely perfect.

I would make a modded version, more minimalistic one but right now my time is really limited and it wouldn't make sense just to mode one element... so if you have some other suggestion I would listen to them gladly.

YES, YES, YES!!! This is exactly what I've been looking for!
I'm such a themeaholic....just went through about 15 themes for Win7 looking for a better light theme (I use Spot by krissirk when I want a dark theme) and nothing felt quite right....until now!
It really bugs me to see Aero glass usedso excessively in so many themes out there -- it's not bad or anything, just not really my taste; I think you've nailed it with the minimal use of Aero for window borders.
I prefer the normal version btw.
Also, I think the monochromatic elements have been implemented in such a way as they're a bit different than the usual, but still fit well and allow the theme to retain full functionality -- something that is often lost on dark/minimalist themes.
I agree with the previous commenter who stated that the scrollbar would fit in better with explorer windows if the background for it was grey like the rest of the theme -- but you are right when you say that it would stick out more in other programs (besides a few native windows apps that the theme applies to).
All in all, great work!

Really glad that you found what exactly what you were looking for!
I always make my theme to be fully functional... I can't use many beautiful themes which are not functional, either they're missing skinned elements or some elements are not visible enough or in some way hurt my eyes and distract me from working.
This theme does the job well and has also some unique elements like the progress bar or the scrollbar which haven't been present in other themes. Still dunno why not so many people downloaded it.

what about the taskbar? are you talking about the icons?
you just apply the theme, set the taskbar to small icons, create a folder with your favorite shortcuts which you want to pin on the taskbar, change their icons and drag them to the taskbar.

what else would you add/change in the theme? if I gather enough ideas, I might make an effort to make a mod of this theme.
think about it and let me know... cause just changing the caption buttons won't do... making them round wouldn't fit the theme... I think I might need to change some elements as well but like I said, my time is really limited to think about it.

well, in overall it's perfect. i'm using the light borders version, and it's awesome,imo it's way better than the normal version.the only thing messing with me it's the white "panel" with folder specs, on the botton of a window. i think it doesn't fit so good. I really apreciate your work dude, so you couldn't do what i asked, ofc i understand and i'll keep using your theme even with that caption

I know what you mean about the white bottom panel... unfortunately there's nothing I can do about it because there's no special setting just for that panel. The white background is linked with the white background in other apps... so if I change it to look good in Windows Explorer, it will mess up a bunch of other elements which depend on this. Microsoft didn't really prepared Windows7 to be customized out of this world like many of us like to do it. It's ridiculous that you still have to patch system dll's to make custom themes work. If the would have been clever enough, would have provided themers with a software to skin windows... but the corporate world is a bitch and put first profit rather than the users.

Two issues I found in this theme (or I am just lucky enough, lol)
First one, in the Start Menu the "Run" don't appear, it becomes invisible but it works if you start to type: [link]
Second, in the regular Windows Explorer window it all become grey and as I seen in your previews I think it is not the way it supposed to work, am I right?: [link]
I loved all your themes till now due to it minimalistic approach, a thing that I really love, but this minor issues are really boring. Maybe it is just because my Windows is a different language, PT-BR, but maybe you can find a way to solve it. Thank you again!

Neither of the 2 'problems' are actually problems.
Are both intended to be that way.
No run box in the start menu because that's how I've designed the start menu. The run box is there but not visible.
Second... yes the explorer window is grey... I wanted a uniform look and that's how I've achieved it.

Simplify is real nice theme and was the only reason why i joined deviantart. But he's right, the second issue looks not nice for me :c

the explorer itself is grey but the other thing (preview of pics) is white. the scollbar is also white

dunno how to change the preview bg... the scrollbar is intended to be almost white cause it looks ugly if it would be grey in other apps.
I'm not too found of Explorer since I use Total Commander.
But like I said before, I don't have anything to change or fix in this theme... it is final. Some things were impossible to match by color because it would ruin other elements etc. It's a living hell to make a Visual Style for windows because things are not as easy as they look.

Be calm, my friend. I accidentally saw these comments. However, to me, it is ok, really ok about window explorer and every elements in this theme. It will be awesome to used this theme. About issue to search bar in start menu, although, i seldom used it, but it is better to hidden, type to search is more elegant and suit to this theme.
Making theme is tough, I been tried to modified some theme back then (I mean other personnel theme), It make to realize that I really really tough.
So, I really appreciate theme developer, although some theme doesnt meet my taste.
