If this is how she looks when she melts, how does she look when she becomes solid again?

The chemical in her body remembers her original form so she would return to normal

Ok, that makes sense. Also, how hot would it have to be for her to melt?

Hmm, I wonder what she'd think if it ever got hot enough for her to become gaseous (if such a thing is even possible, that is).

Lemme guess.. It's hot where you live.Β This always seems to happen to any elastic girl on Deviantart (Or anywhere for that matter. I'm certainly not innocent of drawing one or two of it.)

Not ALL.Β Viva doesn't melt, she just gets hot like anyone else.Β She doesn't slow down or freeze up when it's cold either, at least not so's you'd notice.

Does that mean Viva isn't rubber (or anything similar to that)?

ozwick In reply to HighRoller1234 [2015-08-27 12:28:04 +0000 UTC]
No, Viva's not made of rubber or plastic.Β She's a meta-human; human in all ordinary ways and conditions, but with abilities that she acquired that have made her invulnerable and elastic in form.Β Essentially, she's a human 'toon in her power to be formed into any shape and withstand any catastrophe to her body.Β She doesn't, however, have the capacity to change by herself --Β she needs exterior force to stretch, inflate, etc. -- which is why she builds machines to do that to her as needed.Β She's learned sheΒ can change herself back to normal with a moment's concentration, and has some ability to control how a transformation is going.

I recall a fan comic made by someone (I forget their name) featuring Viva getting tortured by some shadow dude. IIRC there was a part where he electrocuted her and she melted, so was that incorrect or can Viva be melted under circumstances that don't particularly involve only heat?

ozwick In reply to HighRoller1234 [2015-08-28 13:31:13 +0000 UTC]
You recall correctly -- that was a veryΒ early commission from , when I had barely defined Viva's abilities (and he was helping me to expand my ideas).Β To keep that comic "canon," I choose to believe that her antagonist had some kind of alien or magic power to liquefy her, and could do that to anyone.Β Besides, he did it with some style and sexiness.Β So, yes, Viva can be melted, butΒ it takes something other than just heat toΒ do it.Β

No problem. It's a common mistake. It gives Viva an advantage sometimes.

Where does Donna live anyway, cause I think where a rubber girl lives can affect the temperature that they melt at.Β

I'm guessing Donna isn't a fan of the Summer season, but I'm sure she'll control her ability by then.
