This is my entry for the Mama Scared Stiff contest. When I was a young'un, I was spooked by spiders (and I'm still not a fan.) This past fall I kept finding these big nasty spiders in my basement and I was reminded how much I dreaded them as a kid.

I decided to concoct my own drooly, monstery spider-influenced beastie. When not devouring children and hiding in basements, he likes crocheting doilies and playing "Snake" on his extremely old Nokia cell phone. He also loves the show "Hoarders," but he watches it the same way you and I would watch "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous," because man, can you believe those sweet digs? Even a hulking brute like him wouldn't have a hard time finding a hiding spot amongst the detritus.
