Seeing things like this makes me wish sometimes that each generation of Pokemon had different artists for the monsters--like a re-imagining every gen. I'm sure if Gamefreak tried, millions of fans would protest, fandom being what it is. But I would LOVE to see mega charizard done in your style here.
