Description
A "realistic" render of a 1:5 scale Matel Intellivision I created in Solidworks to be 3d printed in five pieces, assembled, and painted.

The model is designed with consideration for the specific tolerances of 3d printing, being hollow to save on material costs with a 1mm thick shell. All details of the original system are included on the model as well, including screw holes, ports, seams and recesses. In addition, recesses for printed decals to represent the metal plates on the top (as well as the number pads and rotary controls) have been modeled into the form to account for paper thickness. Special attention also went into representing the text as .2mm extrusions from the surface to afford the ability to paint them with relative ease. Accuracy is within .5mm.
