Description Evil, no?

First render of the helmet I made for my High Inquisitor character for a fanon that I may or may not make. To me, his helmet looks a bit like something out of the Lord of the Rings (Think of the soldiers of Gondor), but I suppose the Elites' Pre-Covenant armor looked alot LoTR stuff and Arby's armor. ( [link] ) Off on a tangent here, but I saw a picture of the Halo Wars Arbiter in a very interesting suit of Arbiter armor that looked very LoTR-ish and VERY kickass. Just had to say it.

The High Inquisitor of the Covenant serves a similar role to that of the Arbiter, but the Sangheili holding the position is not doomed to be sent to his death on some suicidal mission. The office of the Inquisitor is one that the individual, once inducted, occupies for rest of their life. The main purpose of the Inquisitor is to actively hunt down and purge heresy (and heretics, obviously) from the Covenant and to ensure that the heresy doesn't spread. Enough said about that though.

The actual story involving the (current) Inquisitor takes place at around the time of Halo 2 and 3. He was originally a pious, cranky old bastard of an Elite, like a Covenant Scrooge. However, when Halo Wars came out, its Arbiter kind of took those traits... :\ Hopefully there will be enough difference between their personalities to keep up the possibility of a fanon. (HW Arby is an irritable, violent asshole who will assault anyone who pisses him off; the Inquisitor is older and so he just sneers and snarls and swears.) I'm not sure how my writing skills are right now anyway...

A note on the model: I'm going to do a basic "painted" render in SketchUp since this is only a pet project; I'm planning on making his helmet dark red with pale yellow or silver trim, but if you can suggest a better/alternative color scheme then please do so. I tried it out and it looked a bit odd. I'm also debating whether or not to give him a minor facial deformity (To reinforce the piss-offed-ness of his character) on the model of the head. Shoulder pauldrons might even come after this...
Oh yeah, odd shadowy bits are Podium's fault. They still look cool though.
