I got the inspiration from Soul Eater and also Witchkin (Harvest Moon/ Story of Seasons). I did a little bit of experimenting with the blurring tool and the retro filter on Ibis Paint, kinda overdid it but I liked the glitch-like effect it did with the shading and layers.
