Friedensfest was quite the event for Evan. He was surprised he was welcome despite being part coyote. Evan caught a glimpse of that wolf who stole his prey one time - the one that gave it to a starving fox kit. Evan remembered being so angry at losing a meal, but he commended her for sacrificing something for another species. Evan grew up with a mother that was more than disdained about having pups with a wolf, as if other species are not supposed to mingle with each other.

Evan avoided the other wolf though. As much as he liked her, she was with someone that made Evan's skin crawl. He did not know why, but his gut feeling told him to stay away from the large black wolf. So as much as he wanted to talk to the red lass again, he listened to his gut and stayed away.

After all, he had another situation later on. He ran into a red and white lass. The two of them talked. Evan made an offhand comment of always moving and hating it.

Thats when the offer to join a pack came up.

Evan was uncertain, anxiety bubbling in his chest. It sounded enticing, and it would give his paws a rest after constant travel for an entire year, but his mother and sister were still out there, hunting him. He was sure of it. They wanted to find him, take him back... force him to mate with a male he didn't know. Wanting him to be someone he wasn't. He was terrified at the prospect of them catching up to him and finding him.

But, maybe, if he became well known enough in the pack, assuming nobody hated him for being half-coyote, he would have protection from those in the pack. If his mother and sister dared enter wolf territory, they would be maimed. Maybe. Or just chased out. Not welcome.

Evan swallowed his fear. He accepted the offer. After a long travel to a body of endless water, the stars sparkled brightly as he was shown around the territory by Captain Llyn.

A chance enounter with Llyn at friedensfest has Evan make a choice, join a pack where he will have protection from those hunting him, or travel forever. Evan, hopeful that the future packmates would like him, chooses to join Harami despite his anxiety about it.
