Description

Zeli Alzo is a hybrid -- partially mechanical droid, partially synthetic, non-mechanical biological, created by wealthy businessman Moulin Reese as a one-off Personal Assistant Droid to manage his many business dealings. But his murder and fear of the same murderer seeking to kill her led the synch to go in hiding in the massive underground lower level beneath the ecumenopolis of Eurornis Major. Trying her best to blend in with the droid community by posing as a simple mechanical PAD, her powerful addiction to strong nanobot infused Midich tobacco cigarettes made her frequently spend time feeding her addiction, which only gets her unwanted attention. She sits on the hood of her old speeder in a back alley in the lower level of E-Major, smoking and pondering her future, sensing that someone -- or thing-- is watching her.

This is a character from a Film Noir Star Wars mystery I'm working on. Of course there is a detective involved in the mix and what Film Noir story would be complete without a chain-smoking femme fatale? There is smoking in the Star Wars universe, though nanobot infused cigarettes are never mentioned. We see several water pipes in the CGI Clone Wars and a few brief scenes in the cantina scene in a New Hope and in a few other scenes in The Return of the Jedi and The Phantom Menace and various Star Wars novels and comics. 'Death Sticks' are mentioned in Attack of the Clones, but apparently refer to a totally different drug.
