Description
Final page for the wheat field project. First page can be viewed here,==> [link]That's a page from my Comic Painting class. We were asked to use limited palettes of acrylic (isn't 7 colors only? not sure!) to paint comic pages about a guy walking through the wheat field, sees a barn from his sight. Now he opens the barn...and see what actually inside it!
...I miserably failed for painting the 3rd panel...boohhh! T__T The barn's interior looks pretty odd to me...nah...I don't know T___T

Wow. I think it looks really cool. I could never get down paint like that. It has really good detail (esp. the child) and shots perfect for film (like the third panel's over-the-shoulder).

Nice! But it sure looks like the beginning of +Anima... A baby with black wings crashes through the roof of a building.
Love your use of paint. Too many people (myself included) can't get anything but Photoshop to work right.

It's wonderful! I love assignments like this. xD I think my favorite self-portrait assignment in high school required us to work in little boxes (very Chuck Close style) and use only four colors! X3

I wasn't expecting that at all! I was expecting something creepy/depressing just from the atmosphere of the barn and the first page.

The only thing that I can think of that is strange about the interior of the barn is that (generally) there are rafters and beams that span the length of the barn at the point that divides the roof of the barn from the main body.
Then beams hold the top of the roof up are spanned along the backbone beams.
Also sometimes this area is covered in wooden planks (at least in part) to create more storage space.

Beautiful! It reminds me of the tale of the bamboo cutter, when he finds Kaguyahime in the glowing bamboo stalk.

I suppose I see what you mean about the 3rd panel- But I think, because the focal point ( the spirit) is painted so well, and all the attention is draw there, that it doesnβt matter too much.

And I really liked how you did the lighting in panel three ^_^
(And panel four speaks for itself lol)
Great job *hugs*

It's very impresive! I love how the action is displayed on the panels, and how it displays the feelings of the characters

- I don't think you failed
I think this is gorgeous
but acrylic's are very difficult to manage media
I prefer watercolors over it.
>.<

yeah, I totally agree. T____T It's a hard media to work on even though it's so much fun to work on *sob*
But thank you so much for your comment!

- I think its fun to work on when you're determined
but I guess I've had a couple of nightmare about it
like in my last year art class
we drew something with acrylic
and then we had to trade with someone in the class
and make their drawings more interesting
god, that project was pure epic fail.
its just me and acrylic don't mesh
>.<
unless I water it down
then we're down to business.
and you're welcome
I wish you the best in your school
keep it up
you're already a very stunning artist~!!
