Ok, so strangely enough this wasn't one of the several I've already started. I don't know why I thought this should come before some of the... err... more intense stuff I've already started.Charcoal... wanted to bring out the contrast, but of course, some of the detail is gone. And uhhh it's so warm, everything feels damp and I just couldn't keep drawing - hence the loss of detail in some areas. I may go back and fix it some other time.
Haven't been drawing for a few years, so you'll have to forgive some of the laziness in spots... will get better, promise.

hm. when i focus on his left eye i see the sadness; when i focus on his right eye i think it can be seen two ways depending how how you interpret the shading. i think i can see your original intent despite your scanner woes. this is a very soft, tender, beautiful moment. i would love to see a version of this with his eyes closed. it would make the sweet calm atmosphere i'm getting from this even sweeter .. and.. er.. more calm.
in short, i love this.

Man, even after deciding my comment will get lost in a sea of comments, I still have to say I'm just awe struck by this. It's so hard to find fan art that pulls off the turian face so perfectly. I won't even touch charcoal because of how easy it is to smudge - but regardless of the subject matter, what an excellent display of artistic craftsmanship. I wish they would have taken the dialogue in the love scene further and explored more of Garrus' sort of somber, remorseful attitude, but this is a pretty good substitute for words.
Plus the texturing on his skin is just pretty wonderfully done all around. Can I drool over this in any other way?

Comments are never lost! I read all comments... even the ones that say Garrus looks like he's covered in peanut brittle LOL. Charcoal can be a pain, I always expect to lose a certain amount of detail from smearing it around with my hand.
I'm totally trying to make up for just getting that short little convo and head bump in me2...
As for the drooling, I'm thinking maybe I should get some buckets and leave them here for people. lol.
