Whoa. I took almost all afternoon to color this, but it was kinda fun! I have the lineart of this in my gallery and it's been sitting there for a while, waiting for me to color it, sooo today I did (And fixed some of the lines while I was at it, today):[link]
Oh yah, lookit da grass! taught me how to make it look less crappy than how I usually make grass, today! Thank ya, thank ya, thank ya, Lili. = D She's got much better looking bakgrounds on her artwork, go on ahead and looksy at her gallery if anyone's interested! It's pretty cuuuuuute.
And again, this here's a picture of my numbah 1 honey as Toadette and me as Princess Daisy.

Ahhh, I'm really glad you actually finished this one ^^. I still have the preview you sent me some time ago over here. You a great work, man. However (and I feel kind of bad to say this) I think the shadows on the floor don't blend with the grass that much =X. I don't really know how to explain but it's as if the shadows weren't correctly placed, besides the fact that, while you nailed teh BG, it doesn't connect perfectly with the grass. Then again you did a nice job with grasss, definitely a lot better than I would ever do (Liger is sure a good teacher... maybe I should ask her to teach me something 
Oh, and can you believe that this picture is influencing me to draw some human Taodette fanart? Dunno.. maybe it COULD become reall

Don't feel bad for critiques dude, I want them. Some ideas on how to do things differently and stuff, that'd be much appreciated as well.
Oh, ya noticed the suckiness of the shadows under the charas, eh? That's where I spent like 1 minute, tops. xD Cuz, welp, I didn't know what to do at that point and I wanted to be done with the picture. I could get rid of them and restart tho, but I dunno what to do about them.
The grass being the way that it is, that was a last minute decision as well. Originally the grass was just going to be one plain shade of green brushstroking, kind of like how the ground usually looks in Super Mario World 1, but whenever I was taught how to make it, I decided to throw the grass in there and thought that would look better, or at least look less lazy. I have much to learn about making backgrounds.

Thanks, I'm glad I'm a bit helpful. It's not really a problem. I can understand those "I-wanna-get-done-with-it" impulses. Happens to me a lot of times (but since I'm such a perfectionist, the end result is nothing at all =X... Quite a few pictures have been left at midwork over the time...). Yeah, the grass is awesome, man. It may look better like this, more realistic, but who knows, maybe the other choice would have suited as well
What I think is the problem about hte shadows, is that they're a tad bit too dark, and myabe a tad bit off-placed, given the light-source. The characters in the picture have the low part of the body quite lightened, so having the shadows that dark, it constrasts in an odd way. Just try to improve from here, and it's all good
