These are the words inscribed on the tapestry in the Chiroptera home, the words said to their ancestors by Nocturna.
Though she is seen as the Goddess of their people, she did not birth them, but turned them. Their people were once humans, known as the Terrians, living underground in hiding from the Grimm.
The first to be turned was a young girl named Mary, who consumed the blood of Nocturna, becoming the first Chiroptera and the progenitor of their clan.
