Aleu is my fave Balto 2 character and IΒ΄ve always wanted to see her in the Balto 1 style. Did my best, but the real animators of this movie are the best ^^. I also needed a little cut-and-paste-Photoshop practice and my brain needed to do something else than commissions for a while ^^. Commissions are fun but there is no Balto
. Yes: this is also supposed to be a screenshot. Background created partly by my Balto anime and my Heartlines pics.
And of course the cat has to be there ^^, cracks me up every time XD.

I love how they gave her blue eyes like Aniu in the movie, it makes Aleu's connection/relation to the spirit wolf that much more believable when having them share traits, even if it is only one (at least I think that that was what they were going for, as neither Jenna nor Balto nor Kodiac, Dingo, or any of her other siblings have blue eyes, though said eye colour could have randomly appeared from any part of the husky lineage, Balto's mother just seems like the most likely source to me).

In the first movie yes, but in the second movie she had blue eyes (though Balto's eyes did change to blue once in the second movie during one of his dream sequences too, so who knows).

(I could swear I saw Aniu with blue eyes once, just in passing, lmao maybe it was just in a few frames or something, or my mind was just playing tricks on me sense I was already wondering why the hell Balto's eyes changed colour like three damn times XD).
I don't think anyone had a reference sheet during the production of this movie, that or the animation teams just weren't communicating properly, honestly it's like the main animator suffered some sort of horrible demise and the director/producers just opted not to tell the substitutes which colour Balto's eyes were! π§

I think they did, but on a tighter budget (B1 was a huge project and B2 a very small one). These people seem to be TV animators and not film animators if that makes sense. Not used to draw dogs/wolves that much. To be fair it is only in the dreams Baltos eyes change (though why he has yellow eyes with red instead of brown IDK). Balto 2 is a really good movie but it does not feel like Balto if you understand what I mean. It would be awesome on itΒ΄s own as a wolf/wolfdog finding out who they are and everything but it feels very fan-fic. The feel is so different. I love this movie though I even named my dog Aleu ^^.

That's "anywhere", Uncle Boris.Β Nostalgia is at its peak. I love Aleu; So much so that I am going to adopt, a Husky after I finish School and live alone, and I will call Aleu, for her, in honor of the character.

emberwolfsart.deviantart.com/a⦠Here is my Aleu ^^. She is 8 years old now ^^. Just remember huskies are very active dogs and you should always pick a dog after your lifestyle. They also need a lot of brain-training and needs to have the right temperature to be comfortable. And...the fur...aaaaall the fur.....falling off...every day...everywhere....(I´ve had friends who have had huskies and I love them but I think they are too active for me at least and I am pretty active and take long walks in the forest with my two dogs. I got my Aleu (Border Collie/German Shepherd/Collie/Bernese Mountaindog) cause I wanted a Border Collie smart and active dog but with the ability to chill (with mixed breed you might not get what you want but they are often healthier and not often have the typical-breed diseases/syndromes). The Shephers, Border Collie and collie has the qualities I fit with full speed outside and calm as a clam inside. I got a dog that looks like a Border Collie but has the brains of a Bernese Mountaindog.....meaning that she knows as long as she acts dumb everyone loves her and that we do ^^.

Yeah I love that song. I played "Taking you home" over and over til the day Aleu was old enough so I could take her home. I saw her the first time when she was two weeks old.

The first one is a big part of mine. It was Balto 1 that made me want to be able to draw like that.

It's really, you know, Balto II: Wolf's Quest, it's my favorite movie, (because of Aleu) but one thing I did not like, Jenna's voice is beautiful in the movie, but compared to the "silhouette" was Jenna's face in the first film, I did not like it. She had the nose more, as I can tell, sharpened and "pointed" (in quotation marks), and Jenna was prettier because of that, and made her look more like a Husky, and in the second film they drew her half-plump.

The character-designs in WQ are a little off-anatomy. In the first they move like dogs would and look less cartoony. Still animation where movements are exaggerated in some frames but just for the sake of animation. Animated hand-drawn needs a sort of "bounce" in it to not look stiff. WQ is drawn in a computer and on a tighter budget. It is a shame cause the story is really good. Still not awful cause it still works but yeah I know what you mean. They look like fan.art XD.
