there is a very complicated actionscript that actually measures time before the movie starts

"Owned" generally means that a person was defeated at something. In this case, the character was beaten up by the loading bar. 
"Pwned" resulted from a typing error in a popular game. After dying, "PWNED" would pop up on-screen. The mistake became so popular that it reached outside of the game. The word is along the lines of "teh" and "w00t" and "lawl", in that it's just a re-spelling of already established internet vocabulary.
