Description

This was my first attempt at filling in an ink sketch with watercolors! I was so happy with the results - it was a lot of fun and I've improved a lot since these two.

These two birds are loosely based on characters in the fantasy novel I'm writing. Copraflame (red on the right) is a corra bird of the flock of Aranber, whose songs create dancing flames. Storrian (gray on the left) is a leader of the flock of the Venama, who oppose such singing practices.
