Today was a sad day in our household. Our corn snake, Slytherin, passed away sometime this morning. He went off his feeding weeks ago, and while we had hope of him recovering (he did this once before, and recovered), he did not. He was with us for about 18 months, and was a much loved member of our house...

Gentle, curious, friendly and inquisitive are all words that come to mind when I think of Slytherin. He spent many an hour coiled around my wrist or neck as I worked at the computer, and was always happy to meet new guests, and even model from time to time.

Until he came to live with us, I had no experiance with a snake, but without a doubt, he is the best pet I have ever had. He will be missed, and while other snakes will certainly come into our home, he will always be remembered.
