SO...I really do know I have so much work to do for people. I just needta get fanart out. Watched teen titans recently...aaaand realized how much I freaking love slade. LOOK AT THAT SHAPE. I just stare..O///u///O
Anywho, robin's also beated up, cause it seems like that happens more than not when slade's involved.

omg that is my favorite episode where Robin gets infected with something from Slade's mask and Robin keeps seeing and fighting Slade, but he's not really there!! Robin almost dies! Best episode ever! Love this picture.

Comics!Slade is my favorite antihero/villain, but I've never actually seen Toon!Slade. Pretty different guys, I'm told.
I don't regret my age as such--being 54's not half bad, and it's a lot calmer than the teens and twenties, but it does mean I grew up before the US discovered anime and started doing more decent 'toons as well, so I didn't get to grow up on the good stuff. And by my age it's harder to completely immerse ourselves in a story instead of being distracted by visual techniques and slightly clunky scripts (as if ours weren't worse; it's just that we're now too old to entirely absorb new ones).
I love the best of the DC comicsverse, but I really wish I could have seen the last decade or two of 'toon Batman, Titans, and JLA when I was young enough to see 'em right.

Yeah I feel that mentality, I still love some of the new stuff, but I can't help but point out the silly plots etc, but it's all in good fun. Some of the new art styles bother me oddly, but I do like titans ;D

Agreed on the Robin part, as for Slade, I only like him because he's like the ULTIMATE villain in the Teen Titans serious, not even Trigon compares.
