Description
The body,Eternal Shadow of the finite Soul,
The Soul's self-symbol, its image of itself.
Its own yet not itself--
Fragment - Samuel Taylor Coleridge
I like to think of my body of artwork being like this ... a shadow of my soul, an image that is not truly corporeal in essence or source. It is me, yet it is not mine at all. It belongs to those who see it as much as it does me ... (though that doesn't mean I want people scooting off with my artwork for their own designs, etc.

Hmmm, yes, I feel attached to everything I draw too... I leave a piece of my heart inside every piece of paper. I know exactly what you mean.

I like your sig.
I definitely feel that way. It seems to me that if someone knows what to look for, they could learn a lot by looking at someone's artwork. For a long time it felt like I couldn't draw what was really me b/c I was still learning, but lately it's becoming easier and easier to draw what feels right. I'm beginning to get back to that place where what I draw is what I feel ... and it's got to the point where other people feel it too. I'm glad.
One thing I know is that your artwork is full of motion and feeling. I love looking at it. It's easy to tell that you put everything you are into your art.

Drawing is like every other profession. After study and focus and repetition, the brain starts to work more fluidly. I think that's usually called 'improvement' lol! But seriously, I learn most of my techniques by studying my favorite artists over and over. I think that has a huge effect. But I've seen you progress over the last year and a half or so and I can say that you've come a long way, both in technique and understanding.
But anyways, thanks for the awesome comment. I really try to infuse myself into my drawings. I think the most frustrating thing for me is to draw something I'm not happy with, so it's nice to hear these types of things lol!

Lovely interpretation of the poem, and your art enhances it wonderfully. ^___^
