Love the colours and the patterns, the face looks a bit creepy though, like the woman is actually a corpse endlessly drifting around in the wide open ocean. Still a great painting though.

This is sublime! There is something very haunting about the image: the creepy/beautiful factor of the woman, I guess.
How was using the Cintiq? I've been wondering what it's like to work with one...

Thank you! Using the cintiq is odd. I always feel like my hand is in the way and the shortcut buttons are trickier to click, but I think it's mostly cause I'm so used to my intuos 3 tablet. I think if I gave it time I would end up liking it!

Sounds like an interesting experience! How big is the Cintiq relative to the Intuos?

I have a fairly large intuos (9X12) so I'm not sure how my experience compares. But the cintiq I used was 21 inches, so still a big difference. I think it may just be because the monitor I normally use is small, but the size was definitely better for detail work. I zoomed in much farther than I normally would.

Great piece! Like the eyes. I'm terrible at doing pure black or white eyes.
Which Cintiq did you use? I've got a Cintiq 22HD. I'd recommend to give it a try if you haven't yet.
It's weird working on a tablet that large. lol

Thanks I think it was the older (gray version) of the Cintiq 21UX but not exactly sure. It was interesting, but I'm so used to my trusty intuos 3 tablet. Yours sounds pretty cool though-I think they might be getting those at my school, so I might be able to test it out.

If they do, definitely try it out. Its swivels (if you don't have the screws in the back) and you
can angle it. I was use to my little bamboo tablet before I got the Cintiq. It was strange, but fun.
