Description I actually got this in a chain mail, but I thought it was worth posting. The origins of the photo "was a Veterans Day Commemoration at Dallas City Hall on 11 November 2004. The veteran pictured is Houston James, a survivor of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941, and the Marine is Staff Sgt. Mark Graunke Jr., a member of an ordnance-disposal team who lost his left hand, one leg, and an eye while defusing a bomb in Iraq in July 2003." [link]

The email text accompanying the photo:

This Picture is Worth 1000 Million Words...

We truly take a lot for granted. Forget the football 'heroes' and movie 'stars'. Pass this on so that all may know the price of freedom
Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you,

Jesus Christ and the American Soldier

One died for your soul; the other for your freedom.

How can you NOT PASS this along, we all send dozens of jokes
----------------------------

Yes, this can be found all over the net ([link] , [link] ) but I didn't see it on devart, so here it is.

The pic's not mine, so don't ask me about usage permissions. Original owner unknown.
