This is officially my favourite Vash the Stampede cosplay and pose.
Trust me, that's not just coming from a fangirl, it's coming from someone who used to be so obsessed that she could explain, in great detail, all of the materials, buttons, fabrics, expressions, weapons, hairdos, and poses in the cartoon man's arsenal. ;D

Unfortunately I never got into the manga (not that it didn't look interesting). I read a few, but I was stuck on hearing the guy. ^^
I must admit, I was quite surprised when I heard Wolfwood's voice. It wasn't really what I'd expected. (In the English dubs)

wanna ask.. what kind of fabric is that, and how you make holes like that? = )

authentic leather for the most part with a bit of vinyl mixed in at some parts. The bullet holes were hand drawn and then cut out with small scissors, and I used leather stainer and shoe polish to darken the edges for the dirt/smoke effect

the smoke effect, with that technique you mention, will it fade by water? (is it washable

not sure, it's never needed to be washed and I probably wouldn't anyway. Leather doesn't actually absorb human stink, so even though I've sweated in it many times it still smells like good old fashioned leather (though I do usually febreeze it afterwards to kill off the germs)

A long time ago someone gave a DD to the early version of this outfit. At that time, it was only at 70% completion though

That is exceptional work on the costume, the extra attention to detail on the tattered coat and boots goes a long way to sell the image, even the gun looks realistic. I feel sorry for all the gel you had to put in your hair though lol The photo's well done also, very dynamic.

lol, don't feel sorry, it's just a wig. One of the reasons I like this shot so much is that it's one of the very few where the hairline of the wig looked realistic. A lot of the other shots give it away more. It's one reason why I ended up replacing it in the end, my newer wig looks a lot nicer :]

My daughter is a Cosplayer as well. I help her with many costumes. Did you do all
this wonderful costume yourself?. We also find parts that just "are: why you do this?!"

Haha, you need to read the manga! all of the details I have incorporated come from the manga, he put an incredible amount of detail into his designs and they were all simplified in the anime. As for the outfit, I had help with the sewing because it was made back when i didn't know how to operate a sewing machine. I weathered and added the bullet holes and metal pieces into the coat afterwards, and I made/altered all of the rest of it as well.

Cool! As I said my daughter is a big cosplay(er) as well.She really like the Manga so I decided too.It is one of my favorites!.
My daughter has made " Dante - Devil my Cry "," Peggy Giggles " from a J-Rock band, "Snake" from Kuroshitsuji"which she won best over all in the Masquerade and "Ceal" from the same Manga. She also does alot of modeling at SaboTan con. in Phoenix with her own designes. I offer you this one thing:Continue your efforts. " Never give up! Never surrender!". Good Luck!
