I have a story (which is ongoing because I need to tweak it) called Castle Card, the story of a young knight named Alice who overcomes and deals with an array of things. Her best friend (and adoptive sister) is the Queen of the Country of Red Hearts that she presides over and protects. Alice was really hurt and distraught by this event and had to assume the throne since Maria had not had any heirs.
