Description Skypaw muttured something that no cat understood as he pounced on the wolf's back. The wolf was small and had a dark coat. It was unexperienced but determined. Smokefeather glanced at Wolfpelt. "Its a female," He muttured. Lightwhisker nipped her opponents hind leg as Skypaw fell to the ground with a grunt. "We've gotta help!" Wolfpelt growled as he shot right at the wolf's face. The wolf swung her head around and Wolfpelt flew off, drawing blood over her muzzle. "Look out, Applesweet!" Goldenpaw shreiked. Applesweet was bent down by Skypaw, making sure he was okay. The wolf reared up behind her and grabbed her by the neck, Applesweet letting out an agonized yowl. "Applesweet, no!" Smokefeather yowled. But it was too late. Applesweet's yowl was cut off as she went limp. The wolf dropped her, pleased. Goldenpaw launched herself up and scored her claws across the wolf's eyes. The she-wolf bared her teeth in pain as she backed away, shaking her head as blood poured out of her eyes. One was much worse than the other. Goldenpaw looked up at the wolf, her green eyes glowing in fury. Knowing she was outnumbered, the wolf turned away and ran away through the woods. "Me and Lightwhisker will follow the wolf and make sure its gone back to territory." Wolfpelt growled as he and his sister headed the same way the wolf went. Goldenpaw bent over her mentor. "Applesweet?" She mewed helplessely. Nothing. Goldenpaw quietly layed down by her dead mentor and dug her muzzle in Applesweet's bloody fur. When she looked up she saw Smokefeather on the other side of Applesweet, and Skypaw gone. "She died a brave death," Smokefeather murmured. "And for Skypaw. He'd better be thankfull." Knowing Skypaw, he disliked giving other cats credit and having other cats help him. But he was badly winded and if Applesweet hadnt helped him, he would be the one that died. The ferns rustled behind them and out came the gray and white pelt of Skypaw. He was carrying soaked moss in his jaws and set it down. "We should clean her blood with this, before a cat like Waterflower sees her." He meowed. Waterflower has a deep fear of blood, and no cat knows why. Smokefeather got up and picked up the wet wad of moss and set it where Applesweet was bleeding the most. Lightwhisker and Wolfpelt entered the bloodspilled area. "The wolf has gone." Lightwhisker mewed quietly. She looked at Applesweet, sadness clouding her eyes. She and Wolfpelt were just kitted when Applesweet had become an apprentice, but she still felt like they had grown up together. When Applesweet was an apprentice and Lightwhisker was just a kit, she would secretly teach her the things she learned in training. Now all Lightwhisker could do is curl up next to her and hope she is somewhere safe. "She is with Wildshadow, Loudfire, and Dawncloud now." The cats have heard stories of how they came here, from Scarpelt and Mudsky, now both elders and Snowystar taken Mudsky's place. Dawncloud had died giving birth to Darkpaw and Rainpaw. Both are rather quiet apprentices, and cats think its because their mother died. Both of them were given names to mourn their mothers death. "We should take her back to camp," Smokefeather murmured. The others nodded in agreement and started carefully dragging the lifeless body to camp.
