Prologue

I don't remember how it started or when all I know is the basics of human life eat walk talk and I am chained up. They hate me the first couple days people came in and said they'd kill me if they had the chance and some looked sad because of who I was. The only glimpse I caught of myself is in the bad water they give me I know I am Blond have long hair because how long I have been here. Not much else I can say.

Chapter 1
the reflection

“Can I have a mirror?” It is the only explanation I am chained up I must be different. The guards voice replied in a voice of thunder “I don't see why not.” He handed me a mirror and pulled his hand back fast like he was scared that I would bite his hand. My nose was alright my mouth the same nothing wrong but my right eye was full black “What does this mean?” I thought it in my mind, not realizing that I had spoken out loud.
The man, now scared, I guess from the tone of my voice. “The mayor and elders thought you were trouble.” “You locked me up because your fucking grandma was scared" I suddenly grew angry. I felt the chain snap when I pulled I saw a strange dark grow from my left arm. The man now clearly pissed his pants was also on his butt. Then suddenly a hand was on my right shoulder, I calmed down quickly.
She was there a dark beauty of her own her hair raven black her eye a bright green but still dark on there own. She said one word “key” The guard tossed it, then she unlocked my restraints, my neck raw from where it was. I think he will have some mental issues now. The girls name Tris.”lets go home” she said. I have no home no life no anything.
