Thus begins the Time Off Series. This series is a project I started in the Summer of 2011 that depicts what each of the main six from MLP FiM do in their time off, away from what they normally do. My goal with this project hopefully is to present each of the characters in a more introspective and personal light than in the show while still remaining faithful the show's tone. These comics rely primarily on visual story telling with little to no dialogue, mostly because I enjoy showing the story a lot more than telling it.

Oh wow, this is an AWESOME idea! And you drew it so perfectly. The magical bow looks great, especially the aftereffect of firing it. I like her hair in this style as well, and your drawing reflected it so perfectly. Just... Great, keep it up please.

Beautifully detailed and delightfully intense, scrolling through this was a treat for the eyes. Then there was "WAHAHA!" and scrunchy face and I burst into laughter. Just wonderful.

That is so cool, and it's interesting seeing her hair up like that. I guess any other way and it might get in the way. I wonder if she ever shares this with anyone, or if anyone comes across her handiwork.

Nice. Perhaps a bit over-the-top with the extreme range and stacking so many arrows in a row, but I like it.
Then again, if her pulse (is in blood) doesn't transmit to her TK she would lack one of the challenges that RL sharp-shooters have. Plus making minuet(sp?) corrections to the arrow's course in flight.

If you notice, she's straining to focus her magic into the bow-shape to fire the arrow, which is possibly interfering with her concentration. After the release, she doesn't put any magic into the arrow, so its flight is all from that one burst of magic.
But I agree that this is a nice story.

Okay, personally I feel you should stick with comics. Your amazing at comics, even if not so much for some of your art. I can't wait to see what you have Twilight Spirkle. I even think it would be cool to show what the princess do in their free time.
My only question is, as it is difficult to tell, was it Rarity shot the last one right? Because it seemed almost as if it was an extra arrow. Perhaps it is just perception though on my part.

This is a truly amazing comic, I've seen it before and I am glad its now on Deviantart. The concept of Rarity practicing archery seems really fitting for her and how you showed her practicing is very well thought out. Well done ^^
