"Rain, Rain, go away..."

He sings quietly in a smooth voice, the only sound besides the rain falling against a plaster mask and the ground his steady, short foot falls against the gravel. In a desolate world, he was alone, peering out behind a monotone face into the dark, distorted by the drops falling quickly from the sky. He was alone here. Nobody to obsess over him, or attack him with requests. His own little world. How ironic that it was raining in a perfect world.

"Come again another day..."

He adds, inhaling deeply and filling his lungs with the humid air. He runs a hand through his wet hair, slicking it back from his eyes as his clothing pulls and tugs uncomfortably at his skin, wet cloth sticking. He felt wonderful, absolutely wonderful to finally be alone, to be able to rest... The simplicity of his own world finally allowing him to stay away from it all, even the ones he loved the most void of this world.

"All the world is waiting for the sun..."

He whispers as he stops, leaning back slightly to peer up at the dark sky. He then smiles gently, the drops on his face falling from the sky hiding the ones falling from his eyes. He held up a hand and gripped the mask that covered those eyes, tugging it from his face, the string popping. A quiet ripple of thunder went across the sky as he swallowed, carelessly dropping the mask to the muddy ground. He took a deep breath, closing his eyes. This beautiful, desolate, empty world? His head.
