Description Re-worked design of Leonard "Doc" Samson for my Alternate Marvel Universe.

Leonard Samson in this Alternate Marvel Universe is an expert on radiation and close friend of Bruce Banner, who seeks out Samson's aid in an attempt to cure him of his transformations into the Hulk during the early time period after his Gamma Bomb radiation exposure.

Samson creates a prototype radiation siphoning device that in theory would be able to drain the excessive gamma energy within Banner effectively curing him.  But Samson’s siphon device while successful in draining off gamma radiation from Banner is not powerful enough to contain the high levels of gamma radiation that Banner had been exposed to resulting in the device overloading and exploding. Samson is caught in the explosion and is bombarded with the drained gamma radiation turning him into a gamma enhanced being but on a lesser scale than the Hulk.

Samson possesses superhuman strength, stamina, and resistance to injury. The gamma radiation that Samson was bombarded with enhanced his entire cellular structure as well as added nearly two hundred pounds of enhanced muscle, bone and connecting tissue to his body. Rather than his skin taking on a green hue as has been the case with most other humans who have been exposed to massive amounts of gamma radiation, only his hair has turned green.  Samson is now permanently locked into his enhanced form and does not seem to possess the ability to take on a  normal “de-powered” form similar to Bruce Banner or Jennifer Walters aka the She-Hulk.

Samson has since gone on to use his gamma enhanced physical abilities in the service of good and has found himself being both ally and enemy to the Hulk depending on situational circumstances at the time of their meetings.  This of course has also led to his coming into conflict with various foes of the Hulk as well.
