Description
This is my first "official" painting in Painter. I discovered the uses of this program several days ago, and I'm really liking it. A lot, in fact. So I thought I'd go a little all out and draw something of my own and color it.I tried to go for that uplifting and happy feeling that I know so well from the beginning of summer vacation. Mine just ended, what a pity.
Software: Corel Painter 9 and finishing touches in Photoshop CS.

Holy moses. That is incredible technique. I am a user of painter and I appreciate this a lot more than many people would because making such a smooth, clean, and simple image in that program is not really as easy as it looks. I guess a gentleman never kisses and tells... but what tools did you use to make this? Its insane! Airbrush? Low opacity, high size pencil? I must know!

I used the regular dull conte, with some occasional hyper tapping of the alt key, for the eyedropper tool (when I needed to blend colors).

something is oddly... cute about this. I don't know, it reminds me of watching Sesame Street when I was a kid. I remember how much I used to love that show... growing up sucks, I'm finally starting to realise how care free I was as a kid. This picture... it's rather heartwarming.
