Fury managed to get the shard of the Tesseract first, and save S.H.I.E.L.D. But he now wonders if there is a way to interact with the past, as opposed to merely watching. As their conquest through the Dark Dimension raged on, Red Skull and Dormammu found themselves in the midst of a battle between Crossbones, and Agent Maria Hill. However, the shard of the Cosmic Cube was found by Nick Fury first, and the battle played in S.H.I.E.L.D’s favor.
