Description As the title says. Something I've always wanted to try after using minis during DnD and just thinking they are cool in general. Luckily one of my friends older brother is a massive mini painting fan and I thought it best to try and use his things and have him give me tips before I try to buy a bunch of paint on my own. And I sure did learn a lot during the several hour process. The first one being, as you can see in picture one and two, is to expel a lot less paint from the bottles than I think I need as I put out way too much and wasted some. Sorry Eric!

But he used a...wetpad I believe its called, the paper with the wet sponge under it. While I used a tile for my noob hands. Worked well. And he had already uhhh *checks notes* applied the primer and assembled the mini before I arrived to do the painting. I hope to one day get a box of bits - likely Skaven - and bring them back to him to try the entire process. But later. But my main goal was just to make the lizardfolk guy look good. I'm personally happy with my first try but I'm sure theres a lot of things I missed or could have done better. The main things I experimented with was applying one brown to the middle of the shield and a lighter brown to the outside. And then a nice cool yellow frill and scales at the top.

Once the painting was done I then did a *rechecks notes* wash to help bring out the color. I'm sure I could have picked better browns for the weapon and his gear but still first time funtimes

Hope you enjoy my attempt.
