Hey 2 in a day.

Due to Soul's virus and very blanked out emotions and loss of feeling to petty much anything sentimental, Soul has a mindset as blurry and as black as ink. Its so bad the only color is the orange of his rage and hatred.

This really limits his abilities to properly do certain tasks, such as raising a dragonet. Upon raising Photon since she hatched, he was already underprepared for what was about to happen to Photon.
His ideals as a parent were blurry between trying to keeping Photon safe, ultimately ending with Photon requiring mechanical enhancements to keep her alive and well. He's learned, but he still is an empty void.

Over time however, being with Photon and her siblings has has helped greatly as opposed to anything else, even better when he started to get involved with Spectra.
